Passport to School by Taylormadecards4u

This month's passport kit from Taylormadecards4u is all about going back to school. With fun vintage images of a teacher, student, ruler and other school paraphernalia, you're sure to find something to embellish your next junk journal or paper crafting project.

While browsing Pinterest looking for some inspiration, I came across a fun library style pocket with an attached trifold. I was really inspired by Monica's color choices for the ruler paper. I love the golden patina and I looked through my paper stash for something that would really make that paper pop. I think that the blue green of this paper really makes the ruler paper shine.

I  cut out the ephemera to fill the pockets on the front of the folder and I also added a couple of Tim Holtz paper dolls. I added a bead dangle to an eyelet on the front pocket to give my project a bit of bling.

These next photos show how I decorated the remaining pages of the trifold.

The back side.

A view of all the ephemera.

I also created a matchbook style notebook from some of the scraps I had left over of the teacher paper and the lined paper.

Here's a final look at my project.

I'm not sure how I'll use this project, but I think it would add a fun element to my junk journal, especially with the way the pages fold out. It would give a place for some hidden journaling or a photo or two.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back on the 15th with an add on project to the Passport to School.
